Jenjumoonji
Jenjumoonji is my creative brand born from a love for cozy moments, small joys, and handmade magic. What began as a personal exploration in clay and illustration grew into a small art business that blends ceramics, design, and storytelling. Every piece carries a touch of whimsy and warmth.

The ‘why’
At its heart, Jenjumoonji celebrates the beauty of everyday rituals: brewing tea, tending to plants, writing letters, and surrounding ourselves with gentle color and texture. I created this brand to remind people that art can live quietly in the corners of their daily life: as a mug, a trinket dish, or a greeting card that makes them smile.

Working on my small business has been one of the most challenging and rewarding projects I’ve ever taken on. When I first began building Jenjumoonji, I had a broad idea of what it would take to launch an art brand from scratch, but I quickly realized how much more there was to learn beyond simply creating art.
For a long time, I was focused on making, not sharing. Posting my work online felt uncomfortable and vulnerable. That changed one evening when I grabbed my camera and filmed what became my very first reel. It was a small step, but it opened the door to a new way of connecting with others through my art.
While short-form content can feel overwhelming at times, I’ve learned to embrace the process of documenting and sharing my creative journey. Through this, I’ve not only grown more confident in my voice as an artist but also found a community that resonates with what I make.
Throughout this project, I’ve been able to bring together all of my design and communication skills. My day-to-day involves a little bit of everything, from art direction, photography, and video editing to social media management, web design, and product development. I’ve learned to wear many hats, and I truly enjoy the creative rhythm that comes with it.
Jenjumoonji has become more than a brand to me, it’s a reflection of my growth as both a designer and an artist.
Where it all began…
“Jenjumoonji is a project born from dreams, love, and pure joy.”
Art has always been a constant in my life, it’s shaped who I am and continues to guide how I see the world. Taking on different creative projects over the years has helped me understand myself as an artist and refine my voice along the way.
For a long time, I only imagined what it would feel like to truly pursue my art dreams. I often battled impostor syndrome and hesitated to call myself an artist. But sharing my work with the world changed that. It helped me find my purpose as a creative and allowed my art to reach the people who connect with it most.
Jenjumoonji is my creative child, it is a project born from dreams, love, and pure joy. My hope is that each piece I create brings a bit of warmth and comfort to those who see themselves in it.

Design and branding
Building Jenjumoonji from the ground up has allowed me to use every part of my design background.
I developed the full brand identity, including:
Logo and visual system: playful yet minimal, inspired by nature and soft shapes.
Typography and packaging: clean and whimsical, emphasizing handmade authenticity.
Photography and styling: cozy natural light, organic compositions, and textures that reflect the brand’s warmth.
Digital design: website, social media visuals, and e-commerce layout (Squarespace to Shopify migration in progress).
My creative process weaves between illustration, ceramics, photography, and digital design. I sculpt small batch ceramics and polymer clay pieces, create packaging and visuals, and bring everything together through thoughtful design.
Above all, Jenjumoonji is a reflection of the things I love most: slowing down, creating with care, and finding beauty in the little mundane things.

Takeaways
-
It really isn’t. And thinking about the time lost didn’t help. What helped me bring this project to life was embracing vulnerability and realizing that if I didn’t do anything about it, it was never going to happen. So no, it’s never too late to follow your highest excitement.

As intimidating as it sounds, sharing your art with others will immediately put you in a vulnerable place. But that’s a good thing. This is where growth comes and reflecting on how your art is received by others can help you become a better artist. Trust yourself and your craft.
